VP Radhakrishnan to Visit Four Regions from Aug 29

• Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will visit Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Keralam and Lakshadweep.
• The three-day tour will run from August 29 to 31.
• He will attend programmes spanning education, cultural heritage and public service.
• The Vice President will also participate in fisheries and industry-academia programmes.

New Delhi, 28th Aug: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will undertake a three-day visit to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Keralam and Lakshadweep from August 29 to 31, 2026, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Friday.

During the visit, Radhakrishnan will participate in programmes covering education, public service, cultural heritage, industry-academia collaboration, fisheries outreach and major public celebrations.

On August 29, the Vice President will attend the Founder’s Day Celebration of the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust (KVITT) in Erode, Tamil Nadu.

He will subsequently travel to Bengaluru, where he will attend the centenary celebrations of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde at Vidhana Soudha as the Chief Guest.

On August 30, Radhakrishnan will visit Alappuzha and attend the 115th anniversary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi at Leo XIII Higher Secondary School.

He will then proceed to Pathanamthitta to inaugurate the Aranmula Water Festival 2026.

Later, the Vice President will travel to Thiruvananthapuram to inaugurate the Onam Pageantry, organised as part of the celebrations of Keralam’s major cultural festival.

On August 31, Radhakrishnan will visit Agatti in Lakshadweep and attend an outreach programme organised by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying as the Chief Guest.

After returning to Keralam, he will attend the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) and the Confluence 3.0 Industry-Academia Summit at the RSET Auditorium in Kakkanad, Kochi.
