New Delhi, 1st Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended birthday greetings to former President Ram Nath Kovind, highlighting his long public service and commitment to India’s development, constitutional values and public welfare.
In a message posted on X, Modi said Kovind’s long years in public life had been marked by a “steadfast commitment” to the development of India, the values enshrined in the Constitution and the welfare of the people.
The Prime Minister also said that Kovind had served the nation with passion and simplicity, adding that this had earned him respect across different sections of society.
“Warm birthday greetings to former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji,” Modi wrote, while wishing him “wonderful health, happiness and a long life.”
Kovind served as President of India from 2017 to 2022. His birthday falls on October 1.
