Jaipur, Sept 26: Jaipur-based academic Dr Sumitra Devi Sharma has been honoured with the Emerging Young Faculty Excellence Award-2026 for her contribution to the field of education.
The award was presented during a two-day national seminar organised jointly by the Department of Public Administration, Kurukshetra University, Haryana, and the New Public Administration Educational Society of India (NEPASI).
The seminar was held at Kurukshetra University on September 24 and 25, 2026, on the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: New Paradigms in Governance – Empowering Citizens and Reaching the Last Mile.”
According to the organisers, Dr Sharma was recognised for her innovative approach to teaching and commendable research work in the field of public administration.
Following the honour, Prof Janak Singh Meena, Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dr Sanjay Yadav, Dr Vivekanand Upadhyay, Meenakshi Hooja, Mahesh Gothwal, Prof B.R. Ambedkar, Sudhira C. Jena, Dr Rajendra Singh, Brajendra Singh, Dr Badrinarayan Jat and Dr Kabir, among others, congratulated Dr Sharma on the achievement.
