New Delhi, 25th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, recalling his vision of Antyodaya and the upliftment of the marginalised as a foundation of nation-building.
In a post on X, Modi said Upadhyaya regarded the upliftment of the person standing at the last rung of society as central to nation-building. He urged people to draw inspiration from his ideas and ideals and reaffirm their commitment to social and national responsibilities.
The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of sustained effort and perseverance in achieving success.
“यथा यथा प्रयत्नः स्याद्भवेदाशु फलं तथा।
इति पौरुषमेवास्ति दैवमस्तु तदेव च॥”
Explaining the verse, Modi said that greater effort and perseverance can lead to quicker results. He added that innovation is similarly rooted in continuous effort and that dedicated action, courage and the determination to turn new ideas into reality are important for success and innovation.
The Prime Minister urged people to commemorate Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary by imbibing his ideals and working towards fulfilling their social and national responsibilities.
