Rahul Navin Gets One-Year Extension as ED Director

Appointments Committee of the Cabinet extends his tenure till August 13, 2027

New Delhi, 10th Aug: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension in the tenure of Rahul Navin, IRS, as Director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on August 8, Navin’s tenure, which was due to end on August 13, 2026, has been extended until August 13, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The order also provides for his continuation in service beyond his date of superannuation, which falls on July 31, 2027.

The extension was approved by the ACC and communicated through the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet under the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Navin will therefore continue to lead the Enforcement Directorate through August 2027 unless the government issues further orders.
