Hyderabad, 26th Sept: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday hit back at Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks on the political contest between the “Sangh Parivar” and “Gandhi Parivar”, saying the BJP and Sangh Parivar stand for “nation first”, while the Congress is guided by “family first”.
In a post on X, Bandi Sanjay Kumar took exception to Reddy’s comments made in Kerala on September 25, where the Telangana chief minister had described the Sangh Parivar as the biggest threat to the country and democracy.
“For us, it is Nation First. For Congress, it is always Family First. Reddy has yet again made the difference very clear. He is asking the country to fight and sacrifice for the Gandhi Parivar,” the Union minister said.
He also shared a video of Reddy’s remarks along with his post.
Invokes RSS prayer
Bandi Sanjay Kumar referred to an RSS prayer while describing what he said was the organisation’s emphasis on dedication to the nation.
“Mahamangale punyabhume tvadarthe, patatvesha kayo namaste namaste,” he quoted, translating it as a pledge to dedicate oneself to the service of the motherland.
The Union minister said the prayer reflected the Sangh Parivar’s commitment to the nation, its unity and security.
“No political family could be bigger than the country. No surname can demand the nation’s sacrifice,” he said.
“Your call is for Parivar First. Our resolve is Nation First,” Bandi Sanjay Kumar added.
Reddy’s remarks
Reddy had made his comments while receiving the Aryadan Muhammed Award at Nilambur in Kerala on September 25.
“The fight is between Sangh Parivar and Gandhi Parivar. I am asking this nation to stand with Gandhi Parivar to defeat Sangh Parivar,” Reddy had said.
He had also described the Sangh Parivar as the “biggest threat” to the country and democracy.
