New Delhi, 25th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday accepted the credentials of envoys representing Finland, Vietnam, Mexico, Estonia, the European Union and Belgium at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
New Delhi, 25th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday accepted the credentials of envoys representing Finland, Vietnam, Mexico, Estonia, the European Union and Belgium at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The credentials ceremony marked the formal presentation of the six envoys to the President of India. The diplomats who presented their credentials were:
- Mikko Kivikoski, Ambassador of Finland
- Trinh Minh Manh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
- Pedro Blanco Pérez, Ambassador of Mexico
- Kristi Karelsohn, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia
- Jean-Eric Paquet, Ambassador of the European Union
- Sophie Karlshausen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium
The ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan brought together representatives of European countries, the European Union, and key partners from Southeast Asia and Latin America.
The presentation of credentials is a formal diplomatic ceremony through which newly appointed heads of mission are officially accredited to India.
