New Delhi, 25th Sept: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Friday paid floral tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at Uprashtrapati Bhawan on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Remembering Upadhyaya, the Vice-President described him as a prominent thinker and social reformer. He recalled his philosophy of Integral Humanism, which sought to place the individual, society and nation within a harmonious framework rooted in Indian thought and traditions.
Radhakrishnan said Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya always placed the nation and service to the nation above himself.
The Vice-President’s remarks highlighted Upadhyaya’s contribution to political and social thought, particularly his emphasis on linking individual and societal welfare with the broader interests of the nation.
The floral tribute ceremony was held at Uprashtrapati Bhawan as the country marked the birth anniversary of the former Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader and thinker.
