New Delhi, 9th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tribute to the brave participants of the Quit India Movement, remembering their courage and unwavering determination in India’s struggle for independence on the occasion of August Kranti Diwas.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the sacrifices and resolve of those who took part in the historic movement continue to inspire every Indian.

Recalling the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Shri Modi said the clarion call of the Quit India Movement infused fresh energy into the freedom struggle and reflected the collective determination of the people of India to free the country from colonial rule.

“Remembering all those who participated in the historic Quit India Movement. Their courage will always remain an inspiration for every Indian. Inspired by the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, the clarion call of Quit India infused new energy into our freedom struggle and reflected the unwavering determination of our people to break free from colonial rule,” the Prime Minister said in his post.

The Quit India Movement, launched by Mahatma Gandhi on August 9, 1942, marked one of the most significant mass movements against British rule and became a defining chapter in India’s freedom struggle.
