VP Radhakrishnan to Visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands
C. P. Radhakrishnan to pay tributes at Cellular Jail, join Har Ghar Tiranga campaign during August 8–9 visit.

New Delhi, 7th Aug: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will undertake a two-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on August 8 and 9, during which he will attend programmes commemorating India’s freedom struggle and participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan.
On August 8, the Vice President will visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial at Sri Vijay Puram. He will pay tributes at the Martyrs’ Column, offer respects at the Swatantrata Jyoti and visit Veer Savarkar’s Cell.
Later, Radhakrishnan will attend the Light and Sound Show depicting the story of India’s freedom movement and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
On August 9, the Vice President will participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan by hoisting the National Flag at Flag Point in Sri Vijay Puram.
He will subsequently attend the state function, “Tiranga Concert on Vande Mataram,” at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Auditorium.
In the afternoon, the Vice President will visit the historic Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, concluding his scheduled engagements during the two-day visit.
