Tawde, Bansal, Irani Among BJP’s New State In-Charges

• BJP announces in-charges for 36 states and UTs.
• Nitin Nabin approves the organisational appointments.
• Several states get new co-incharge teams.

New Delhi, 23rd Sept: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a fresh list of state in-charges and co-incharges for 36 states and Union Territories, with the appointments taking effect immediately.

The appointments were announced by BJP national president Nitin Nabin through a press release issued by the party’s Central Office on September 23. The list includes appointments for states and Union Territories across the country.

Among the key appointments, Jay Prakash has been named in-charge of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, while Dr Devendra Kumar has been assigned Arunachal Pradesh. Dr Arvind Bhadoriya will oversee Andhra Pradesh, with Vanathi Srinivasan as co-in-charge. Assam has Mangal Pandey as in-charge, with Phangnon Konyak and Manoj Tigga as co-incharges.

For Bihar, Harish Dwivedi has been appointed in-charge, with Sangeeta Yadav and Rohan Gupta as co-incharges. Mahendra Pandey will handle Chandigarh, while Smriti Irani has been appointed in-charge of Chhattisgarh, with Siddharth Shambhu as co-in-charge. Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi has been named in-charge of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.

In Delhi, Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has been appointed in-charge, with Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Darshanaben Jardosh as co-incharges. Goa will be handled by Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, with Anil Antony as co-in-charge. Gujarat has Tarun Chugh as in-charge, supported by Ajay Mahawar and Gomati Sai.

Smriti Irani has also been assigned Haryana, with Dr Bhola Singh as co-in-charge. Himachal Pradesh will be headed by Shrikant Sharma, with Darshana Singh as co-in-charge. Dr Satish Poonia has been appointed in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir, with Reena Kashyap as co-in-charge.

In Jharkhand, Gajendra Patel has been appointed in-charge, with Saurabh Singh and Nivedita Singh as co-incharges. Karnataka will be handled by Harish Dwivedi, with Dr Kasm Venkateshvarlu as co-in-charge. Prof M. Nagaraja has been named Kerala in-charge, while Rajkumar Bhatia will handle Ladakh and George Kurian Lakshadweep.

For Madhya Pradesh, Vijay Kumar Dev has been appointed in-charge, with Rekha Verma as co-in-charge. Maharashtra will have Baijayant Jay Panda as in-charge, supported by Amit Malviya, Sadanand Shet Tanawade and Kamaljeet Sehrawat.

Dr Rajdeep Roy has been appointed Manipur in-charge, while Kanad Purkayastha will oversee Meghalaya with Dr Numal Momin as co-in-charge. Dr Bhagwat Karad has been named Mizoram in-charge and Anil Antony Nagaland in-charge. Odisha will have D. Purandeshwari as in-charge and Dr Swadesh Singh as co-in-charge.

In Punjab, Dr Satish Poonia has been appointed in-charge, with Virendra Sachdeva and Dr Alka Gurjar as co-incharges. Rajasthan will have Sanjay Bhatia as in-charge, with Kavita Partidar and Kuljeet Chahal as co-incharges. Raju Bista has been appointed Sikkim in-charge.

Tamil Nadu will be headed by Ram Madhav, with Nirmal Kumar Surana and D.K. Aruna as co-incharges. Telangana has Sunil Bansal as in-charge, with Abhay Padartal and Rekha Sharma as co-incharges. Mrignanka Dev Barman has been appointed Tripura in-charge.

For Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Tawde has been named in-charge, while Jagdish Patel, Medha Kulkarni, Dr Pradeep Sharma and Anant Ojha have been appointed co-incharges. Uttarakhand will have Ram Madhav as in-charge, supported by Arvind Menon and Bansuri Swaraj.

In West Bengal, Sunil Bansal has been appointed in-charge, with Lal Singh Arya, Rajendra Singh of Bihar and Pinky Kushwaha of Bihar as co-incharges.

The BJP said the appointments are effective immediately. The communication was issued by Tarun Chugh, MP, Rajya Sabha and National Headquarters In-charge, and circulated to state presidents and state organisational general secretaries.
