DPIIT Signs Strategic MoUs to Boost India’s Startup Ecosystem
Partnerships with Cashfree, Vultr, Cars24, Darwin Dynamics and CSI aim to strengthen digital infrastructure, funding, cloud access and innovation

New Delhi, Aug 8: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed five strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industry partners to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem through enhanced digital infrastructure, cloud services, entrepreneurship support, innovation and global market access.
The agreements have been signed with Cashfree Payments, Darwin Dynamics LLP, Vultr India Pvt Ltd, Cars24 Services Private Limited, and the Council for Startup India (CSI).
Under its partnership with Cashfree Payments, DPIIT-recognised startups will gain access to secure digital payment solutions, identity verification services, risk management tools and preferential onboarding support. The collaboration will also include workshops, mentoring sessions, AI buildathons and hackathons to strengthen fintech capabilities and digital compliance.
The MoU with Darwin Dynamics aims to promote entrepreneurship across Tier-II, Tier-III and rural India by expanding mentorship, startup formalisation, investor connect programmes and innovation in sectors such as artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, climate technologies and advanced manufacturing.
To strengthen technology infrastructure, Vultr India will provide eligible startups with cloud credits, technical support, preferential pricing and training on cloud computing, databases, networking, Kubernetes and application deployment, enabling startups to scale their digital operations more efficiently.
DPIIT has also partnered with Cars24 to promote innovation in mobility and automotive technology. The collaboration will support AI-driven solutions, founder mentorship, startup skilling, investment opportunities and innovation challenges focused on next-generation mobility.
Meanwhile, the partnership with the Council for Startup India (CSI) will help startups access investments, corporate partnerships, leadership development programmes, governance support and international market opportunities. The initiative is expected to improve financial readiness and accelerate the global expansion of Indian startups.
According to DPIIT, the five collaborations are designed to strengthen the Startup India ecosystem by improving access to technology, finance, mentorship and global networks, while supporting innovation-led economic growth and enhancing the global competitiveness of Indian startups.
